Shared research application

FinBro

One application, two complementary research workflows: Ethan for public-company reporting and Clara for evidence-first company research.

The problem

FinBro is the shared application behind Ethan and Clara. This retained overview preserves the original project URL and explains how the two case studies fit together.

Company research needs a path from public information to a checkable artifact, while treating financial facts and incomplete company evidence appropriately.

Ethan and Clara are workflows within FinBro, not separate companies. They share an application shell but use different data and orchestration boundaries.

How it works

  1. 01

    Shared Next.js application

  2. 02

    Ethan public-company workflow

  3. 03

    Clara company-research workflow

  4. 04

    Reports + source registers

From input to output

  1. 01Use Ethan to resolve public-company identity and prepare source-linked financial reports.
  2. 02Use Clara to confirm a target, collect evidence through bounded tools, and preserve coverage gaps.
  3. 03Keep report output, source references, and status visible within the shared application.

Data sources

  • SEC filings and financial facts
  • Public company websites, original pages, and bounded discovery leads

Technical approach

  • Deterministic public-company data processing
  • Bounded evidence-first company research
  • Shared report and application interfaces

What you can inspect

  • Ethan public-company research report
  • Clara structured company brief
  • Sources, gaps, and execution status
  • Ethan and Clara now have independent case studies with their own approach, evidence, and limits.
  • This original FinBro URL remains available for existing links.

Checks & engineering decisions

Verification evidence

  • The individual Ethan and Clara cases document their reviewed implementation evidence and verification boundaries.

Key decisions

  • Treat Ethan and Clara as complementary workflows within the same FinBro application.
  • Keep financial facts, company-reported evidence, and incomplete research states distinguishable.

Role & status

Personal application and data-workflow development with AI coding assistance; workflow integration, research interfaces, evidence handling, and implementation review.

Limitations

  • Provider availability and configuration determine live research coverage.
  • Not all planned FinBro roles or deeper research modes are implemented.
  • No production-scale, paid-user, or quantified business-impact claim is made.
